When Susan Christensen goes for a walk along one of the Island's many beautiful beaches, she's always looking for potential scenes to paint. It's why she never goes anywhere without her camera. She never knows when she'll happen upon something that will take her breath away that will inspire her to take a picture that will eventually become one of her stunning seascape paintings.

Taking photographs that will later become paintings is different than just taking holiday snapshots. Susan pays close attention to foregrounds and backgrounds, light and shadows, colour intensities and contrasts, reflections, wind direction and a myriad of other factors that can influence the outcome.

Susan loves to share her passion and talent for both photography and painting so we have created an amazing opportunity to learn how to take pictures and then create a painting from them.
If you just want to learn how to properly photograph scenes you can book the half day photography experience....involves editing & printing photos as well.
If you just want to learn how to paint seascapes, you can book the half day painting experience taking home your very personal Island souvenir.

And if you'd like to spend an entire day with Susan taking pictures and then painting one in her studio, we have created a full day experience that will help you enhance both your photography and painting skills.

Half Day Photography session (2.5 hrs) $80/pp + HST
Half Day Painting session (3 hrs) $90/pp + HST
Full Day Photography & Painting (5.5 hrs) $170/pp + HST (lunch not included)
Available daily Monday-Saturday Minimum-72 hours advance notice
Experience takes place in the Cavendish area.
